Body & Breath:
Exploring the Mechanics of Breathing

  • Breath is more than something we do automatically. It is a living, responsive process that shapes how we move, feel, and regulate stress.

In this 90-minute experiential workshop, we’ll move through a blend of accessible anatomy, guided inquiry, mindful movement, and abdominal massage.

You’ll learn how to feel your breath from the inside out and create more space for it to move with ease.

We’ll begin with a short, approachable lecture covering the anatomy of breathing, the diaphragm, and how the different zones of respiration impact your nervous system. Then bring that knowledge directly into the body. The physical practice will invite you to slow down, observe subtle patterns, and support your breath through movement and breathwork practices.

Expect to breathe together, deepen your understanding of how you breathe, and leave with practical tools you can use both on and off the mat to regulate your nervous system.

Discover Yoga and Meditation

  • Explore the benefits of yoga and meditation on your physical and mental health.

Join me at Rockford Road Library, 6401 42nd Ave N, Crystal, MN, for a program to introduce you to the benefits of yoga and meditation.

We’ll begin with a brief lecture and discussion on the practices of yoga and meditation, and the benefits you can receive from cultivating a practice. Then, we’ll dive into an experience of the practices themselves with a 45-minute yoga practice followed by a 15-minute guided meditation.

Mindful Mat Pilates for Real-World Strength

  • Through steady, precise movement and smart progressions, you’ll challenge your muscles while staying connected to your breath and alignment.

This 45-minute Mat Pilates pop-up blends mindful movement with focused strength work to support your whole body from the inside out.

Using your own bodyweight and simple handheld props, you’ll build strength, stability, and control without complicated machines. While we’ll engage the deep core, this class goes beyond abs. Expect intentional sequencing that strengthens hips, shoulders, and postural muscles, helping you move with more confidence in everyday life.

You’ll leave feeling stronger, steadier, and supported from the center outward.

Happy Hips:

Functional Movement, Release & Stretch for Real-World Hip Health

  • Your hips do far more than “open.” They stabilize, generate power, and adapt to everything from walking and sitting to squatting and balancing.

In this 90-minute session, we’ll explore your hips through direct experience, gently challenging the long-standing yoga myth that more openness is always better.

Using a combination of functional movement, yoga postures, and targeted deep-tissue release with therapy balls, you’ll explore your hips in ways that support strength, mobility, and day-to-day comfort. We’ll move with curiosity, experiencing yoga asana as a natural expression of what your body is capable of, moment by moment. We’ll close in savasana, giving your nervous system time to settle and your body space to absorb the work, so you leave feeling grounded, spacious, and reset.

This experience is great for yogis, desk dwellers, and anyone curious about how their hips work.
